Yunjo Lee Investigations Contest Announced!
We are happy to set up and share this investigation with avid thinkers out there. In Republic of Korea -- probably many Asian countries as well -- there is a strange and rude misperception about dyslexia. Whenever someone does or says something weird, out of context and imaginable, people here in Korea say without giving a thought, "Oh, dyslexia again", "Are you dyslexic?", or "Never mind, s/he has dyslexia". This might be fun for some people, but this puts down those with real dyslexia. It is no doubt that this kind of nonsense jokes comes from the misunderstanding on the full definition of dyslexia and the understanding of intelligence.
I wrote a paper which mainly involved thorough reexamination on the most effective way of making changes within individuals and in turn, in society. There is no 'number one best way' for making changes since it involves various many factors. However, I personally thought and think that 'investigating together' is the most effective way in the long run because it directly makes the personal engagement during 'the-pondering-over-period' in any investigation. So, again, you have no idea how happy we are to have you joined in this shared investigation! :-)
This investigation is open for everyone between age 5 and age 25, and your nationality and native language do not become an obstacle to join this investigation voyage, as long as you are able to communicate comfortably with us. (In addition, those of you who are from the society where the awareness on dyslexia is relatively high, why don't you come and share your direct/indirect experiences? Also, those of you who are from the society where the awareness of it is relatively low, like Korea, you will make a GREAT change that will affect both dyslexics and non-dyslexics because it is about neuro-diversisy.)
We will be sharing our findings and thoughts to each other that are caught throughout our investigations.
